The Writing Center will continue to offer one-on-one consultations throughout the summer. If you’re wrapping up a seminar paper, drafting a conference presentation, putting together job materials, or writing your thesis or dissertation, consider making an appointment at The Writing Center! Consultations are guided by the needs of the writer; they can focus on compositional issues like structure, clarity of argument, and sentence-level mechanics, but they can also focus on process issues like strategies for avoiding procrastination and techniques for managing a large amount of research materials. Some people also use weekly appointments as a way to maintain a sense of writerly accountability and to keep up the momentum on long-term writing projects.
