Hunter College’s Roosevelt House Hiring Tour Guides

Hunter College’s Roosevelt House

Currently interested in hiring tour guides

We are looking for graduate students in history interested in training as guides for Roosevelt House at Hunter College, located at 47-49 East 65th Street. It was the home of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and their children, and Sara Delano Roosevelt, FDR’s mother, from 1908-1941. We are expanding our public tour program to include tours on Fridays and Saturdays.  Five to six training sessions will be held in December and January with tours to start in February.

Guides will be paid for the training and tour time.

If you feel confident talking to groups, and have some teaching or public speaking experience, we would like to hear from you.

See http://www.roosevelthouse.hunter.cuny.edu/house-history/  for additional information about Roosevelt House. Please send a resume and statement of interest by November 15 to Deborah S. Gardner, Historian & Curator, Roosevelt House: dgardne@hunter.cuny.edu.
