Adjusting to Life in a New City: How to Make the Most of Your Time in NYC
Monday, November 15
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Moving to a new city can be stressful and often requires you to adjust to a new way of life. This is especially true for a city like New York, which is exciting but also very hectic, and which can feel intimidating at first.

In this workshop we will share tips and resources that will help you thrive in New York City. We will cover a wide range of topics, from how to reduce your commuting time on the subway to how to get discounted Broadway tickets and how to contact local immigrant communities. We will also leave time for participants to ask questions and share the specific challenges they are facing.

This workshop is not limited to students who just moved to New York: anyone who is looking for ways to connect with the city is welcome to attend and will likely find out about at least one new resource to take advantage of.
