Registration for the Summer 2026 semester of the Language Reading Program at the CUNY Graduate Center is from May 4^th to May 29th. Classes begin June 1st.

 

The LRP prepares students to satisfy their language reading requirements.  Their courses are aimed strictly at the translation of scholarly texts.

 

This summer, the program is offering Levels 1 and 2 in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. All courses are online using Zoom.

NOTE TO HISTORY PHD STUDENTS: The LRP course must be at a Level II, with a grade of B+ or better on the final exam, to count towards your language requirement.
