Event: Digital Transgender Archives

https://gc-cuny.libcal.com/event/8873833

Join us for a discussion of the Digital Transgender Archives with founder K.J. Rawson (Associate Professor, Northeastern University). The DTA is “an international collaboration among more than sixty colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, public libraries, and private collections,” and brings together newly digitized material about gender diverse lives from across the globe, and throughout modern history. We’ll discuss the Digital Transgender Archives’ unique format and structure, as an openly-available resource that applies an interdisciplinary lens to LGBTQ history.

This event is free, open to the public, and made generously possible through a Doctoral Curriculum Enhancement Grant offered by The Publics Lab and funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Additionally co-sponsored with The Center for the Study of Women and Society, CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies, and the CUNY University LGBTQIA Council.
