“Archivists Against History Repeating Itself:

Towards a Liberatory Now”

Dr. Michelle Caswell, UCLA

October 19th, 2017, 6:30pm

CUNY Graduate Center, Rm. 9204 –

365 5th Ave, New York, NY

We have all heard two common—and conflicting—tropes: that history repeats itself and, from Dr. King, that the arc of the moral universe bends towards justice. In this talk, Michelle Caswell will advocate that archivists take a more active role in disrupting the cyclical nature of oppression.
