Paid internship with Queens Council for the Arts (Fall 2021)

Here’s a new paid internship opportunity through the PublicsLab, with the Queens Council on the Arts in Fall 2021. QCA is looking for a Student & Alumni Engagement Intern to work with their High School to Art School (HS2AS) program. The position is paid at $5000 for 150 hours of work over the course of the Fall semester.

HS2AS is a free visual arts portfolio development program that provides qualified high school juniors and seniors with the visual arts skills training necessary to gain acceptance into competitive art colleges. Both a merit and need-based program, HS2AS serves a population underrepresented in the art world: their students are largely low-income and of color – often the first generation in their family to go to college. For more about the HS2AS program, please click here; more information on alumni can be found here.

While HS2AS has been successfully helping students get into the art schools of their dreams since 2004, QCA is looking for an intern who will help them further develop knowledge of and services to their roster of alumni–now hundreds of emerging artists and cultural workers all over the country.

More information about the internship and how to apply can be found here. Questions should be directed to me at shartman2@gc.cuny.edu.
