Participate in a Russian Language Study and Earn $25
Reid Vancelette is a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistics at the Graduate Center, CUNY. He is conducting a study on how Russian is learned by second language learners here in NYC.
Reid is looking for native Russian speakers and second language learners of Russian to participate.
Study Details:
· Duration: Two sessions, each lasting 45 minutes.
o Session 1: Performed online at a location of your choice (you will read sentences and provide judgments on your computer).
o Session 2: Conducted in person at the Graduate Center, CUNY (you will listen to sentences and match them to pictures on a computer screen while they track your eye movements).
Compensation:
· Complete both sessions and receive $25.
Eligibility:
Native Russian Speakers:
1. Age 18-50 years old.
2. Born and raised in a Russian-speaking country.
3. Moved to the U.S. after age 18.
OR
Second Language Learners of Russian:
1. Age 18-50 years old.
2. Born in the U.S. with English as your first language.
3. Completed at least 2 years (4 semesters) of Russian at a college or university.
Total Time Commitment:
· 1 hour and 30 minutes, divided into two 45-minute sessions.
