Please go here – – to see a Call for Papers for a graduate student conference at Princeton  titled “Failure in islamic Reform”. This conference, organized by the Princeton Islamic Studies Colloquium (PISC), seeks to problematize the notion of “reform” and how the canon
of “reformers” was established, as well as to evaluate the metrics that have been used to evaluate such Muslim reformers and reform movements. The conference  will run from Friday to Saturday, April
12-13, 2013. We seek papers from graduate students in multiple disciplines and on diverse geographic and political contexts, from colonial India to contemporary Egypt.
