Seeking a Sublet Near Columbia University From Sept. 1- Dec. 31

I have a friend and colleague who is looking for a temporary apartment near Columbia University. Her name is Prof. Dr. Éva Kovács. She is the research director at the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies. She is a wonderful person and scholar in every way.

Éva has given me a little bit of information about what she is looking for. She writes:

“The case is the following: we are searching for a two-bedroom apartment near Columbia University for four months (1. September – 31. December 2017). My husband, Janos Matyas Kovacs (currently permanent fellow at IWM- the Institute for Human Sciences, Vienna– www.iwm.at[iwm.at]), will be Istvan Deak Professor at the Department of History. We can spend max. 3000 USD/month for the apartment. My husband and my son will be there, I and my daughter will visit him in the first and the last two weeks of the professorship.”

She also mentioned to me that an exchange might be possible– i.e. someone who would like to come to Vienna for four months or to Budapest for four months, as her family has apartments in these places.

If you know of someone who would like to sublet or is interested in an exchange, could you please have them contact eva.kovacs@vwi.ac.at ?

Sincerely,
