We are looking forward to applications for our 2016 Democracy Fellow[ssrc.org] Seminar, led by Professor Charles Taylor. This year’s theme is: ‘Crises of Democracy’. Please note that the deadline for applications for the seminar is Monday, September 19, 2016.

Our two-part seminar is open to local PhD candidates in the social sciences and complements two public ‘Democracy in the City’ events during Professor Taylor’s residency (at Roosevelt House on October 17, and at Civic Hall on October 21).

The seminar will meet at Council headquarters in Brooklyn, NY, for 2.5 hours on Tuesday, October 18, and Thursday, October 20. Further details will be provided to successful applicants.
