St Joseph’s University in Brooklyn, New York is seeking an adjunct to teach one section of The Making of the Modern Middle East on Mondays and Wednesdays 140-305pm .

The courses run from Sept 6 until Dec 18th.

It is designed for majors and non-majors alike, but the instructor is, of course, free to choose the books and curriculum. It’s an introduction to the subject that seeks to present the history of the region from approximately 1500 to present, but the course is very much open to the interests and specialities of the instructor. It is expected to have around 12 students (20 is the limit).

 

The campus is located in the lovely Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, and you will have use of the university facilities (office, gym, etc).

Salary depends on degree, but is approximately $3100.
