10/6 – Information Session: New York State Assembly Program

Each year, the New York State Assembly offers a unique experiential learning opportunity for current graduate students (or recent graduates) who have a strong interest in the legislative process. The program is open to all accredited graduate programs and academic disciplines. Program participants are placed in the offices of Assembly committee chairs or central staff and serve in a professional staff capacity, supplemented with learning opportunities directed toward applying academic coursework to professional development. Successful applicants are paid a stipend of $15,000 for the duration of the program, which runs over the course of the legislative session (January 11, 2021 to June 18, 2021).
