9/25 – Grants & Funding for the Humanities and Social Sciences (GC Library Workshop)
Curious about how to identify grants and other funding sources for your work (Fellowships, prizes, and more), but not sure where to start looking? We can direct you to useful tools that will do a bit of the work – so that you can focus on opportunities that best align with your research goals, and start applying!
This interactive workshop will cover a wide variety of resources – Pivot, Foundation Center, GrantForward – and their useful features. We’ll talk about how to identify various grants and funding sources in your discipline, with a focus on the Humanities and Social Sciences. Also discussed will be best practices – what to do in preparation before you apply; researching an organization; soliciting letters of recommendation; keeping track of upcoming deadlines, and other practical, useful tips.
