Hanan Hammad is Associate Professor of History at Texas Christian University. She is the author of Industrial Sexuality: Gender, Urbanization, and Social Transformation in Egypt, which has been awarded the 2017 Sara A. Whaley Book Award given by the National Women’s Studies Association.
