CALL FOR PAPERS

The History Department of City University of New York’s Graduate Center invites graduate students to submit proposals for both individual papers or panels to be presented at the fourth annual department conference, “Charting New Historical Trajectories.” The conference will be held on March 28th, 2014, at the Graduate Center.
The History Department is pleased broaden this year’s call for papers to include all New York area graduate students. The goal of this conference is to offer an opportunity for students to present their work and receive valuable feedback from peers and mentors. We welcome papers ranging from first-year research projects to excerpts from dissertation chapters.
We are seeking proposals on any historical topic or period. Interdisciplinary work is encouraged. Proposals due November 30th, 2013.

Proposals should include a one-page abstract and a one-page CV. If submitting three related proposals, please attach a one-page panel description, as well as an abstract and CV for every panelist. Also be sure to indicate if your talk will require any electronic equipment (power point, etc.).

Please submit all proposals and send all questions to GChistory.annualconference@gmail.com.
All presenters will be notified by January 15th, 2014.

We look forward to sharing in your work- CUNY Graduate Center Department of History
