3/27 – Prof. Eduardo Contreras’ Faculty Membership Seminar

We’d like to continue with the previously scheduled membership seminars for this semester, only via a Zoom format rather than in-person.
.
To that end we attach materials for Prof. Eduardo Contreras of Hunter College—his CV and a chapter from his 2019 book, Latinos and the Liberal City: Politics and Protest in San Francisco (UPenn Press):
.

Below please find the formal “invitation” to join the Zoom meeting—click on the link at the scheduled day/time.  If you haven’t used Zoom before, there will be a quick/brief download of software.

Prof. Contreras’s work should appeal to several constituencies among us: he is an historian of immigration and immigrant communities in the recent U.S. and is also working on transnational projects in Central American and Caribbean history.  Please RSVP to Marilyn if you plan to participate in the Zoom meeting..
