“Militant Maud Malone” – NYPL Doc Chat: August 18 at 12:30

Join us on August 18, 2020 at 12:30pm for Episode Two of Doc Chat, The New York Public Library’s new program series from the Center for Research in the Humanities. During each 30-minute episode, a NYPL curator or specialist and a scholar will highlight evocative digitized items from the Library’s collections and discuss innovative ways of teaching with them. NYPL welcomes educators, researchers, students, and primary source lovers to join the Doc Chat conversation.

On August 18, 2020 at 12:30pm, NYPL’s Cara Dellatte, Ian Fowler, and Susan Kriete will exame photographs from the LIbrary’s Picture Collection for clues about why “Militant Maud Malone,” a NYPL librarian and pioneering suffragist, has been largely overlooked by history.
