Requesting input from students on healthcare service needs

The Health and Wellness Committee of the Doctoral Students Council is seeking students’ input regarding your healthcare service experience and needs, and to that end, would like to poll GC students in order to better advocate for improved healthcare services. The Committee is especially interested in learning the following:

  • how many students would like to have a Nurse Practitioner continue on staff at the Wellness Center
  • what alternatives students would prefer in the event that the Nurse Practitioner service is discontinued
  • what arrangements students make for health insurance after NYSHIP coverage ends
  • how satisfied students are with the service of Beacon Health Options, formerly Value Options

The poll is accessible online here: https://goo.gl/forms/Kmoq3Am5AsYSC3Es1[goo.gl]. The online poll is entirely anonymous though does require sign-in to deter the survey from being taken multiple times. The poll consists of 10 questions and should not take more than 5-10 minutes to complete.

We kindly ask you to distribute the poll to the students in your program. Any questions you or your fellow students may have about the poll or items mentioned therein can be directed to the Officer for Health and Wellness at wellness@cunydsc.org. Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation.

Best,

Teresa
