Smarthistory seeks consultant on the creation of learning content
Smarthistory is searching for an established historian (not an art historian) with a specialization in American history, extensive teaching experience, and superior writing skills to consult on the creation of learning content for Seeing America, an ambitious, ground-breaking initiative to develop a free, comprehensive, multimedia learning resource developed and distributed by Smarthistory together with a consortium of museums. The consultant will review content for coherence and accuracy as needed on an occasional basis and will be required to attend three, two-day convenings at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (travel costs will be covered).
The duration of this position is approximately 30 months ending December 2019. The consultant will work as an independent contractor for approximately 50 hours over 30 months.
