Survey on Grad Center Tuition Remission

The Doctoral Students’ Council is the sole policy-making body representing students in doctoral and master’s programs at the Graduate Center. The Doctoral Students’ Council and its officers are charged with representing student interests before the Graduate Center administration and external bodies such as CUNY Central.

Currently, the Graduate Center and CUNY Central provide tuition remission for full-time PhD students with Graduate Assistantships or CUNY Adjunct Lecturer titles teaching a minimum of three credits, and who are within their first 10 semesters. The Graduate Center’s five-year fellowship packages also include tuition remission.

The DSC is advocating for increased Graduate Center tuition remission through the DSC Resolution process and a public awareness campaign. We want your story on what having or not having CUNY tuition remission means to you.
