University of Wisconsin-Madison tenure track opening in Early Modern European History

The History Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has opened a search for two Assistant Professor (tenure track) positions in African History and Early Modern European History with appointments to begin August of 2022.

Position 1: West or Central African history. Research interests may be in any sub-field, specialization, or time period. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in African history and to work closely with the UW-Madison’s Title VI National Resource Center in African Studies.

Position 2: Early Modern Europe, 1450-1800; thematic field and geographical specialization open. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Modern European history.
